there seems to be a typo in the download link provided in the package. I already submitted a pull request with a fix.
Until then you can download the database via
wget https://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/kneadData_databases/Homo_sapiens_hg39_T2T_Bowtie2_v0.1.tar.gz

Thank you for reaching out to the bioBakery Lab and pointing out the KneadData database download issue. We have now resolved the download issue with the following commit and will get the release v0.12.3 out soon.

Please feel free to use the wget https://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/kneadData_databases/Homo_sapiens_hg39_T2T_Bowtie2_v0.1.tar.gz command to get the latest database as suggested by @SimonH until the next release is out.
