Issues with downloading some reference genomes

I’d like to download s__Lactobacillus_plantarum and s__Bifidobacterium_animalis with the command line phylophlan_get_reference but an error has occurred :

OSError: [Errno 101] Network is unreachable

This is not a taxon naming issue, as I have looked at the nomenclature of taxa by doing

phylophlan_get_reference -l

This is not a general concern either, as I was able to download other reference genomes of other species of the genus Bifidobacterium and Lactobacillus.

Hello Manea and thanks for reporting this.

I don’t think this is something related to PhyloPhlAn itself though. It seems to me to be more of a system/network problem. You said you were able to download other genomes, maybe there were some temporary network issues? Have you tried from a different machine? Unfortunately, I’m not able to reproduce your error so it will be difficult for me to tests on my side.
