I am currently a post-doctoral researcher in the Computational Metagenomics group led by Prof. Nicola Segata at the CIBIO department at the University of Trento, Italy. My main research interests are the study of the relationship of the human gut microbiome and diet and the development of new software tools for metagenomic analyses, mainly related to computational phylogenetics to characterize unknown microbial organisms.
