Processes and threads command difference in Kneaddata

$ Kneaddata Version 0.12.0 --help
Dear officer,

I have recently started using Kneaddata to quality control my sequencing data. However, I have a question regarding the distinction between the terms “processes” and “threads” in the command. Does the “processes” command refer to the number of processors used by Kneaddata, while “threads” refers to the number of CPU cores employed in the analysis?

Best wishes,
Shuyuan
