# Metaphlan 3 dependencies

What are the dependencies for metaphlan 3? I’ve successfully installed metaphlan 2 using conda but am having trouble getting metaphlan 3 to work. Can metaphlan 3 be installed using conda?

Yes, it is available on the bioconda channel.  
Check the [installation](https://github.com/biobakery/MetaPhlAn/wiki/MetaPhlAn-3.0#installation) section of the MetaPhlAn manual for how to install it correctly

Thanks, I installed it with conda. I previously had installed metaphlan 2 with conda but didn’t realize the package was updated.
