hello, I have difficulty downloading the humann database: humann\_databases --download chocophlan full /lustre04/scratch/zhangbin/chocophlan2/chocophlan --update-config yes Download URL: [http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/humann\_data/chocophlan/full\_chocophlan.v201901\_v31.tar.gz](http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/humann_data/chocophlan/full_chocophlan.v201901_v31.tar.gz) CRITICAL ERROR: Unable to download and extract from URL: [http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/humann\_data/chocophlan/full\_chocophlan.v201901\_v31.tar.gz](http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/humann_data/chocophlan/full_chocophlan.v201901_v31.tar.gz) I am also confused, isn’t vOct22 the newest one? can humann v3.8 and metaphlan v4.0.6 (1 Mar 2023) still support this v201901 database? ---

Have the same problem, database files seem to be not accessible. Would be nice to get an approximation when that might work again. Thanks for the updates here. We’ve been doing work behind the scenes to try to make the downloads faster and more stable, but there might be some growing pains in that effort. Let us know if things aren’t working! ---

Hi, I am unable to download the databases, I am getting critical error CRITICAL ERROR: Unable to download and extract from URL: [http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/humann\_data/chocophlan/full\_chocophlan.v201901\_v31.tar.gz](http://huttenhower.sph.harvard.edu/humann_data/chocophlan/full_chocophlan.v201901_v31.tar.gz) I tried it with the wget command aswell but was unable to download it. ---

Getting caught up here. Has this been resolved? Sometimes there are disruptions in our hosting during maintenance periods at Harvard Research Computing. ---

Hello! Similar to others in the thread, I tried downloading the UniRef90 database and am getting a critical error. I’ll try again later today/tomorrow to see if things are down due to maintenance. We’re looking into this. It’s very common for our downloads to sporadically be unavailable due to maintenance, and people notice it because we get a lot of traffic. They definitely wouldn’t be down for weeks without us knowing though, so I’m wondering if there is some other issue here, e.g. a firewall from your institution blocking the download? ---

Hi, I am trying to download the databases for HUMAN3, but the code provide on the github, and the code suggest previously on the page, neither works. I have tried: `wget https://g-227ca.190ebd.75bc.data.globus.org/humann_data/chocophlan/full_chocophlan.v201901_v31.tar.gz` `humann_databases --download chocophlan full .` I even cant access the url using my browser. I am wondering if the link for downloading the database have been changed? Look forward to any updates soon! Thanks, Yi ---

Once the servers are back up. What is the latest compatible version of Humann and Metaphlan DB ? Does the latest version of Humann (v201901 feels pretty old) work with mpa\_vJan25\_CHOCOPhlAnSGB\_202503 ? ---
