# ERROR MAASLIN2 " object with no dim"

Thanks for a great tools . I get the following error when I run Maaslin2.

“Error in `rownames<-`(x, value) :  
attempt to set ‘rownames’ on an object with no dimensions”

What is the solution

Now I am getting the error bellow when I try to normalize by CSS or other method

Error in features\_norm + 1 : non-numeric argument to binary operator

Hi @Senu_Apewokin,

This looks like an issue with the metadata file. To me, the error reads that for some reason MaAsLin was not able to set rownames on one of your feature tables (or both). Are you able to share a minimally reproducible set of example data that generate these errors? (real data, anonymized data, or toy data)
